Yes, it happened. My Sony T630 went in the washing machine while it was on. It was a sorry state when I found it. Water inside the display. Shaking it violently got the water out of the display.
I then left it in my car on the last sunny day we had and that dried it out some. Not in sunlight, just on the center console. I powered it up after this and it works but the display still have moisture in it. The moisture has cleared after 2 days in my pocket and I've been lucky, looks like new again now.
Congrats Sony on a washing machine proof phone.
my cell phone went into the washing machine too. sunday night i didnt notice it until it was in the drier and i took it out when the dryer was half way done. i have a LG VX5200, and i looked on the verizon website. all it said was to let it dry for a few days. today i turned on my phone and the display works(even though it has some water in it) but it cant make or receive calls nor does it make any sounds. any suggestions? illini_native@hotmail.com

I put my Samsung 670 through the full wash cycle when it was on. Took it apart completely, let it dry, put it back together, replaced the battery and now it works great. The only change is you have to press the menu button slightly harder. I'm so glad these things are built like they are.

LMAO yep my hubby came in all hot last night and put his work clothes in the wash - hopefully to be ready for the next day at work. In the morning, he said to me "you don't want to know what i've just found". I was kinda worried - then saw him holding his SEp800 it had been thru a gentle wash in the machine and in the tumble dryer all night. DER! took it apart and was nice and dry in there - tho some white residue on alot of the components. I used a new toothbrush and brushed it clean then put back together and nothing :( put it on the charger and nothing so we were looking on ebay for a replacement when suddenly he said "oo it's on!!" bashing my toe in the excitement I leaned over to see it's now working :D
Waterproof mobile sounds like a fab Idea considering the amount of nut cases out there ;)

My only one month old Motorola V3 RAZR took a bath in the washing machine too this morning. I felt like such an idiot! I saw it right after I started the washing programme, but it was already too late. I stopped the washing machine and took it out, and tried to take out the battery. I'm a huge dummy when it comes to things like that, so it took at least a few minutes before I managed to take it out. I hope it has survived it, I haven't tried to put it on again yet.
If you know what to do, please e-mail me!

My baby LG! I purposely picked it because it looked sturdy. It's been flung out onto the cement so many times, frozen in the car overnight, and survived perfectly. But this was too much for it =(
Going to let it dry a few more days, try the dryer and oven, and then give it a proper funeral. Single tear.

Just washed my Samsung. Figured, what the heck, it's clean, I'll dry it. Put it inside 2 dry socks, put the whole load in the dryer. Load is done, connected the phone to the charger, it started to charge. Couple minutes later, it played a little tune... and the menu works. Remembers my recent calls, my phone book works ... still haven't made a call. Gonna charge it up more first.

I am so glad I am not alone. Yet another sad mobile in the wash story.... My Nokia 6230i has just been exposed to a Bosch Exxcel 60degree stain removing wash. It isn't looking too chuffed but you guys have given me hope. I just wish I'd backed up all those details......

NEWS UPDATE! It's all good. I am a little impatient but 20 hours after its hot soapy ordeal the Nokia 6230i works again. My life is complete! There are those soapy marks that so many of you have mentioned but they just give the phone character and are a permanent reminder to me that I should take more care of my phone! So, if you are reading this and you've washed your phone keep praying, it might just work again.

I washed my razor v-3 Phone and it works just fine but I had to replace the battery with my wifes battery and it works so everybody if you wash your phone dry it out and replace the battery and it might just work fine but My Phone display has a new feature the background has cool clouds it looks wicked but the display is still perfectly viewable!
